Four Additional DIGs transferred

Four police officers holding the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (Additional DIG) or equivalent positions have been transferred.

A notification in this regard was issued on Sunday (June 15) by the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Ali Akbar Khan, Additional DIG and Commandant of Dhaka’s Range Reserve Force (RRF), has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). In a reciprocal move, Rumana Akter, Additional DIG of the CID, has been appointed as the new Commandant of Dhaka RRF.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Shamsul Haque, Commander of Chattogram’s 9 Armed Police Battalion (APBn), and Md Nazrul Islam, Additional DIG of Dhaka APBn, have also been transferred to the CID.
