Chattogram Port is facing renewed container congestion, with the latest count on Sunday, June 15, reaching 44,548 TEUs.
Despite a slight reduction in containers within the port, 12 container-carrying ships, holding approximately 12,000 containers, are currently berthed at the outer anchorage.
Additionally, 11 ships are actively loading and unloading containers at the port jetty.
Although port operations have been normal for the past 11 days, the arrival of a significant number of containers from 19 private depots has contributed to the new congestion.
