Lift blockades, stay on roads: NCP
  Date : 18-07-2025

Online Report : National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam has called on party activists and the general public to lift ongoing blockades across the country and instead take positions peacefully on the roadsides.

The message was conveyed on Wednesday through a Facebook post by Sarjis Alam, NCP’s chief organiser for the northern region.

In the post, Sarjis quoted Nahid as saying, “Remove the blockades. Take position on one side of the road. The struggle continues.”

Echoing the same sentiment, NCP`s Chief Coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwari also posted on Facebook, urging supporters to clear the blockades and continue their presence on the streets in a peaceful manner.

Party leaders said that NCP’s peaceful march towards Gopalganj was met with a pre-planned violent attack aimed at suppressing the movement.

Despite this, they affirmed that NCP activists will not leave the streets and that their political struggle will persist.
