kamrul Hasan: Afroza Khanam Rita, a member of the advisory council of the BNP chairperson and convener of Manikganj district BNP, has called for building a united public opinion to confront all kinds of conspiracies against BNP, including protecting freedom, the constitution and democracy and resolving the ongoing crisis in the country.
She made this call at a rally after the joyous procession organized on the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of BNP on Monday afternoon.
Rita said, “A group is conspiring in various ways to thwart the 13th National Parliament elections. Some are trying to question the elections, while others are trying to delay the elections with the help of foreign masters. However, the people of Bengal will not accept these conspiracies.”
She also said that the people of Bangladesh have been waiting for a free, fair and impartial election for a long time. The people`s government will be established through that election. BNP is a party of the people, so the main commitment of the party is to solve the problems of the common people.
Stressing the role of women, Rita said that Manikganj is known as the base of BNP. Not only men, but also women must play an active role here to ensure the victory of the rice ears.
She said that to fulfill the dream of the great independence proclaimer, martyr President Ziaur Rahman, everyone must work together, forgetting their differences, to implement the 31-point plan to repair the state structure announced by the national hero Tarique Rahman and to further strengthen the organizational structure.
Rita mentioned, “Manikganj is the first wave of the movement. The people of Manikganj are always ready to face any adversity. Manikganj’s role in protecting every movement, struggle and rights of the country has set a nationwide example.”
She prayed for the speedy recovery of the national leader Begum Khaleda Zia and the long life of Tarique Rahman.
On the occasion of the day, a joyous procession with the spontaneous participation of thousands of leaders, activists and supporters started from the Shaheed Smritistambha Square, circumambulated the city and finally met at the Manikganj Bus Stand area.
