Hundreds join Jashne Julus rally in Dhaka marking Eid-e-Miladunnabi
  Date : 06-09-2025

On the holy occasion of 12th Rabiul Awal and commemorating the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), a grand Jashne Julus procession was organized in the capital on Saturday with the participation of hundreds of devotees.

The rally was organized by Anjumane Rahmaniya Mainiya Maizbhandaria under the leadership of its president and Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP) chairman, Dr. Syed Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari.

The day-long program began in the morning with a grand procession starting from the west gate of Suhrawardy Udyan. The rally paraded through Doel Chattar, Shikkha Bhaban, and Kadam Fountain streets before returning to the Udyan, where a peace congregation was held.

Devotees from across the country flocked to the capital from dawn, carrying flags, banners, and festoons inscribed with Islamic slogans such as “Ya Nabi Salam Alaika” and “Ya Rasul Salam Alaika.” A giant national flag led the procession, while participants in white T-shirts and caps filled the streets with chants of *Naraye Takbir* and *Naraye Risalat*. Women also participated in significant numbers.

This year’s observance carried extra enthusiasm as it marked the 1,500th year of Eid-e-Miladunnabi.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari described Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a divine blessing for all humanity. He emphasized that following the Prophet’s teachings is the only path to establishing lasting peace, justice, and brotherhood in today’s conflict-ridden world.

He added that embracing the message of Eid-e-Miladunnabi in personal, family, and national life would spread harmony and compassion across society.
