MASTUL Foundation Turns 13: A Journey of Compassion and Commitment Led by Kazi Reaz Rahman

Among Bangladesh’s volunteer organizations, MASTUL Foundation is widely recognized for its humanitarian work, including ongoing initiatives in Gaza, Palestine. This renowned charitable organization has successfully completed 12 years and now steps into its 13th year. While continuing to support underprivileged communities across Bangladesh, Mastul Foundation has also directly engaged in urgent humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza, setting a global example of Bangladesh’s humanitarian spirit.

13 Years of Dedicated Humanitarian Service
Founded in 2012 by young entrepreneur and volunteer Kazi Reaz Rahman, MASTUL Foundation has spent over a decade providing multifaceted humanitarian services, including education, healthcare, housing, emergency relief, and rehabilitation. The organization continues to carry out diverse humanitarian activities across the country.
Ongoing Humanitarian Assistance in Gaza

In response to the severe humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, MASTUL Foundation has been operating directly from Cairo, Egypt, since 2024. The organization regularly delivers food, clean water, specialized baby food, milk, and medical supplies to war-affected and vulnerable families. Currently, a branch office in Cairo coordinates these operations in collaboration with the Bangladeshi and Egyptian embassies, working on the reconstruction of mosques, orphanages, and hospitals in Gaza.

Additionally, MASTUL Foundation operates mobile kitchens to provide cooked nutritious meals and distributes dry food packets daily. Special emphasis is placed on supplying infant food and clean water to children suffering from malnutrition and water scarcity.

Interview with Kazi Reaz Rahman
Speaking about MASTUL Foundation’s 13-year journey and future plans, Kazi Reaz Rahman said:
"Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu. Alhamdulillah! I am deeply grateful to Almighty Allah for His endless mercy and to all of you for your unwavering support and love, which has allowed MASTUL Foundation to complete 13 years and enter its 14th year. Every step, every smile, every success in this long journey has been dedicated to pleasing Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
When I first sowed the seeds of MASTUL , I had only one dream – to serve the creations of Allah. Today, with your collective efforts, that dream has grown into a beacon of hope for thousands. Over the past 13 years, we have stood by countless underprivileged children, vulnerable families, and marginalized communities, providing education, healthcare, food, shelter, and emergency relief. This achievement is not personal—it is a vast humanitarian effort made possible by Allah’s guidance and the tireless dedication of our volunteers, staff, well-wishers, and donors.
We believe that serving humanity is an act of worship. Allah says in the Quran, `Be kind to what is on earth, and He who is in heaven will be kind to you.` This sacred principle inspires every action of ours. At MASTUL Foundation, we uphold humanity irrespective of religion, race, or ethnicity, following our moral and religious duty to serve others. Every effort we make is aimed at pleasing Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala."

Future Goals and Objectives
Looking ahead, MASTUL Foundation aims to create sustainable change, beyond immediate relief. Its key objectives include:1.Expanding Education: Ensuring quality education for every underprivileged child in Bangladesh, enabling them to become responsible citizens.2.Improving Healthcare: Delivering modern and accessible healthcare to marginalized communities.3.Livelihood and Empowerment: Promoting self-reliance through training, employment creation, and support for small entrepreneurs.4.Disaster Response and Environmental Protection: Assisting those affected by natural disasters and taking measures to protect the environment. 5. International Humanitarian Efforts: Supporting vulnerable populations globally, including Gaza, enhancing Bangladesh’s humanitarian reputation. The newly launched ‘MASTUL Foundation International’ is part of this effort. MASTUL Foundation calls for continued prayers, support, and active participation from all supporters to carry forward this humanitarian mission.

About MASTUL Foundation
MASTUL Foundation is a registered national organization under the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. For over a decade, it has worked relentlessly to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged people and children. Key humanitarian activities include providing funeral services during the COVID-19 pandemic, distributing emergency relief to flood victims in 2022 and 2024, and delivering humanitarian assistance to Turkey after the 2023 earthquake. One of MASTUL Foundation’s successful initiatives, the “Zakat Empowerment” program, creates sustainable employment for countless underprivileged individuals and youth, empowering them toward self-reliance. Every day, free meals are distributed across Dhaka to impoverished and vulnerable communities. Additionally, MASTUL Foundation operates its own madrasas, shelter homes, orphanages, and guesthouses in Barikhali, Dhaka. Donations to MASTUL Foundation, including Zakat, Sadaqah, or charitable contributions, are tax-exempt under the National Board of Revenue (NBR) regulations.
On this milestone, MASTUL Foundation expressed gratitude to all supporters, well-wishers, and donors in Bangladesh and abroad, and called for their continued support in the years ahead.
