Councilor candidate Humayun Kabir Shunu leads voluntary road repair effort in pirojpur

Zakir Hossain: Demonstrating a commitment to public welfare ahead of the municipal elections, Humayun Kabir Khan Shunu, a councilor candidate for Ward No. 8 of Pirojpur Municipality and a noted social worker, personally joined local youths in repairing a damaged road in the area through voluntary labor.

The initiative was undertaken to ease the suffering of residents and restore smooth communication and transportation in the neighborhood. Shunu actively participated in the repair work alongside a group of enthusiastic young volunteers who contributed their labor to the project.

Speaking on the occasion, Humayun Kabir Shunu said, “Standing beside the people is my responsibility even before becoming an elected representative. I want to continue working for the development of the area and the welfare of its residents.”

Local residents highly praised the initiative, describing it as a positive example of public service. They noted that Shunu’s direct involvement in community development activities before being elected reflects his dedication to addressing local issues and serving the people.

The voluntary road repair effort has been widely appreciated by community members, who expressed hope that such initiatives would inspire greater civic participation and contribute to the overall development of the municipality.
