Omar Al-Razzaz Praises China’s Comprehensive Development and Xi Jinping’s Global Leadership

International: September 13: Former Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Al-Razzaz recently gave an exclusive interview to China Media Group.

Having visited China many times and closely observed the country’s overall development, he said, “China’s comprehensive development is truly remarkable—from preserving its cultural heritage to technological innovation and artificial intelligence, it is making coordinated progress across all areas.”

Speaking highly of the “Four Global Initiatives” proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, he said, “President Xi Jinping is highly visionary; he has provided clear guidance for world peace and coexistence. Such leadership is greatly needed on the world stage today.”

China’s local governance system and citizen service model have also drawn his attention. After closely observing Beijing’s “12345 Citizen Service Hotline,” he remarked, “This administrative and citizen service system has deeply impressed me. I believe China should share this unique experience with the world.”

Omar Al-Razzaz said, “At present, a common crisis is emerging across the world—whether in Western countries or developing nations, ordinary citizens everywhere feel that governments are not responding adequately to their basic needs and demands. This dissatisfaction is particularly evident in areas related to public services and improving living standards.

“When I first came to China to attend a conference, I learned about the ‘12345 Citizen Service Hotline’ center. When citizens face problems such as power or water supply disruptions, potholes in roads, or any other issue affecting their daily lives, they can directly call this number. Many countries have similar hotline services, but they are mainly limited to emergency services, such as ‘911.’ China’s ‘12345’ service, by contrast, has a much broader scope—citizens can confidently call the number regarding any ordinary problem in their daily lives.”

Responding to a question about China’s position and policies on the governance of artificial intelligence, he said China has already reached a leading position in the world in ensuring the global governance of AI. Artificial intelligence is an extremely powerful and advanced technology.

In July this year, 2026, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a highly impressive and profound speech. He noted, “The development of artificial intelligence should not be a ‘solo performance’ by any single country; rather, it should become a ‘symphony of a harmonious ensemble’ for the entire world.” China wants all countries around the world to work shoulder to shoulder to safeguard the overall well-being and dignity of humanity and achieve shared prosperity.

Al-Razzaz further noted that in recent years, President Xi Jinping has proposed the “Four Global Initiatives,” which have been working to strengthen dialogue among civilizations, enhance mutual understanding and modernize global governance. President Xi Jinping’s visionary thinking has shown the way toward peaceful coexistence in the world. The world needs such responsible leadership today, and many like-minded countries have already responded to his vision.

At the conclusion of the interview, Al-Razzaz reiterated that China’s way of integrating its rich cultural heritage spanning thousands of years with modern scientific development is highly commendable. In his view, China’s practical experience and achievements in citizen services and digital governance are worth emulating by the world. Supporting President Xi Jinping’s vision for the global governance of artificial intelligence, he said, “The development of AI is not a solo performance by any single country, but a collective symphony of global cooperation”—a principle he described as highly forward-looking and one that offers the world new food for thought.
