Comfystyle Opens First Flagship Outlet in Banani, Eyes Nationwide Expansion

Desk Report: Comfystyle, the fashion and lifestyle brand of Purbani Group, has opened its first flagship outlet in Banani 11, marking a major milestone in its journey from online retail to physical stores as it prepares to expand its presence across Bangladesh and explore international markets.

The new outlet represents the brand’s move towards a broader retail strategy, bringing its clothing collections closer to customers through a dedicated shopping experience. The expansion also reflects growing opportunities for local fashion and lifestyle brands to strengthen their market presence by combining online platforms with physical retail outlets.

With the backing of Purbani Group’s 53 years of experience in the textile and apparel industry, Comfystyle aims to offer contemporary clothing that combines style, comfort and quality.

Launched three and a half years ago, the brand has built its presence through online sales and Unimart. The opening of the Banani outlet marks the beginning of its planned expansion across the country, with international markets also on its future agenda.

The opening ceremony was attended by Abdul Hai Sarker, chairman of Purbani Group; Shafiqul Islam Sarker Sohel, managing director; Sharmin Hai, founder of Comfystyle and director of Purbani Group; and Zakaria H. Sarker Farhan, director, along with distinguished guests and company representatives.

Among the prominent business leaders present were A. K. Azad, chairman of Ha-Meem Group; Tapan Chowdhury, managing director of Square Pharmaceuticals; Faria Hossain, chairman of Akij Resources; and Sheikh Jasim Uddin, managing director of Akij Resources.

Speaking at the ceremony, Abdul Hai Sarker described the opening as an important milestone for both Comfystyle and Purbani Group.

He said the brand aims to build a fashion and lifestyle business that brings together quality, comfort and contemporary design while offering customers a meaningful shopping experience.

He also expressed optimism about expanding the brand’s presence across Bangladesh and eventually entering international markets.

Comfystyle founder Sharmin Hai said the new outlet reflected the brand’s commitment to expanding its retail footprint and making its collections more accessible to customers.

Drawing on Purbani Group’s long-standing industry experience, Comfystyle seeks to establish itself as a contemporary Bangladeshi fashion and lifestyle brand with ambitions beyond the domestic market.

The opening comes as Comfystyle moves into a new phase of business development, with physical retail expected to complement its established online presence. Its future growth will depend on its ability to maintain product quality, offer competitive designs and prices, and build lasting relationships with customers.

For the brand, the Banani flagship is more than a new shopping destination; it is the starting point of a broader effort to establish a stronger retail identity in Bangladesh’s competitive fashion and lifestyle market.
