Modi regime turns IIOJK into world’s largest open-air prison

Online Desk: Modi-led India has turned Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) into the world’s largest open-air prison.

With deployment of over one million Indian troops, Kashmir has become the most militarised region in the world.

Unprecedented militarization has made daily life increasingly difficult for the people of the occupied territory as Indian troops continue to kill, torture and arrest Kashmiris on a regular basis.

India cannot alter the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir by turning it into a military garrison and the repressive policies of New Delhi have failed to break the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom.

Kashmiris have been waging a decades-long struggle for their legitimate rights, includin;g right to self-determination and would take it to its logical conclusion at all costs.

The world must act to stop Modi’s fascist regime from committing further crimes against the people of Kashmir and it must move beyond statements of concern and take concrete steps to address the Kashmir crisis. Kashmiris are looking to the international community to help end decades of Indian repression secure a just resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
