  Date : 12-02-2020

Online Desk
Several hundred workers of a readymade garment factory on Wednesday morning blocked Tejgaon link road in the capital on Wednesday protesting the dismissal of some 80 of their colleagues.

Workers of Kaniz Garment started the protest at 9:00 am clogging traffic on both sides of the road putting office goers in immense sufferings. Meanwhile, workers of the adjacent garments also joined the protest expressing solidarity.

Sources said there was unrest among the workers in last few days as the factory authorities did not pay any increment this year. Later 80 workers were terminated yesterday amid the tensed situation.
