Woman’s death in Sitakundu creates panic

A woman, who had been suffering from fever and cold at Sheikhpara in Sitakundu upazila, died on Tuesday night, creating panic among people in the area amid the rising cases of cornavirus infection in the country. Family of the deceased said Renu Begum, 45, went to her in-law’s house on Tuesday evening with fever and cold from her father’s house in Kumira and died two hours after she reached there.

Civil Surgeon of ChhattogramSheikh Fazle Rabbi Mia, said “No one died from coronavirus in Chattogram. Her death was normal as she had no coronavirus symptoms. People are spreading rumours over it unnecessarily. “ He also urged people not to get panicked. Milton Roy, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, said representatives from local administration visited the house of Renu.
