Dr. Jawaharlal Singh occupied the place of government school: Complaint to UNO
  Date : 26-04-2024

Md. Tauhidur Rahman, Chitalmari: This time an associate professor of DhakaMedicalCollege has been accused of forcibly occupying the place of government primary school in his own village. A written complaint has been lodged with the Chitalmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Bagerhat on behalf of the school. UNO said. Maruful Alam admitted receiving the allegations and said he had asked the education officer to take legal action in the matter. According to the complaint, Dr. Jawahar Lal Singh has occupied about two and a half hundred places behind the CharbaniyariPaschimparaGovernmentPrimary School building in Charbaniyari Union No. 96 of Chitalmari Upazila on the occasion of the closure of the school in Corona. On August 10, he himself suddenly appeared in the village and occupied this government place. Locals said the school authorities did not show any restraint. Gopalkrishna Singh, president of the school management committee, and Anjali Rani Singh, headmaster of the school, lodged a written complaint with the Chitalmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer on August 12.

Gopalakrishna Singh said that when the school was established in 1985, the late Gaur Chandra Singh and the late Dayal Chandra Singh jointly donated 33 decimal of land. Suddenly Dr. Jawaharlal Singh forcibly occupied the place for about two and a half centuries. It`s unfair. So the government has appealed to the UNO to release the school property forcibly and for appropriate punishment of the occupier. He said the matter has been reported to the concerned administration including district and upazila education officers.

Chitalmari Upazila Education Officer. Aminul Islam first told reporters he had heard of the occupation. But received no written complaint. He later said on his mobile that the matter would be discussed with the school authorities next Sunday. Then he will be able to tell the details.

It can be seen on the spot that the back of the school building is surrounded by a blue net and a barbed wire fence. There are pillars on the inside of the perimeter. SMC president Gopalkrishna Singh claimed that the pillar was the property of the school. Dr. Jawaharlal Singh was not found at that time. However, his brother met former UP member Hiranmoy Singh. He spoke to reporters on his mobile phone with Dr. Jawahar Lal Singh, Associate Professor (Surgery), Department of Special Gastroenterology, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

Dr Jawaharlal Singh said he surrounded his own property. He claimed that he did not seize any school or government property.
