Eviction of illegal establishments of Cox`s Bazar South Forest Department: 1 acre of forest land recovered

Abu Sayem, Cox`s Bazar: About one acre of forest land has been recovered by evicting illegal structures in Cheinda forest bit area of ​​Ramu upazila of Cox`s Bazar South Forest Division. Several construction materials were also seized during the operation.

Cox`s Bazar South Forest Divisional Forest Officer Humayun Kabir on Thursday, October 22 at noon on the instructions of the Sadar Range Officer. The operation was led by Tarequr Rahman.

Sadar Range Officer Tarequr Rahman said that the occupiers were trying to build installations in the Cheinda forest area by occupying the reserved forest land. About one acre of forest has been recovered by evicting two establishments during regular patrols. Several construction materials were also seized during the operation.

Humayun Kabir, Divisional Forest Officer, Cox`s Bazar South Forest Department, said the forest department was vigilant against evictions and encroachers against illegal establishments. Campaigns will continue to rescue government forests and protect forests. No one will be able to stop the activities of the forest department by conspiracy, we are in a strong position against the forest occupiers and hill people, and they will be identified and brought under the law.
