Rohingya youth shot to death in Ukhiya

A Rohingya youth was shot to death allegedly in Ukhiya Upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Sunday (February 12) night.

The victim Md Asadullah, 33, in Ukhiya’s Rohingya camp no. 20.

Superintendent of Police Md Arefin Jewel, the deputy captain of APBn-14, confirmed the matter.

He said at least 10 to 15 criminals entered the camp through the Lal Pahar road and took Asadullah, who was physically disabled, to the bridge next to the camp around 10 pm on Sunday.

The criminals later hacked and shot him to death, the official added.
