Young boy dies as mini-truck hits truck in Sitakunda

A young helper of a truck driver was killed after another truck smashed from back in Sitakunda Upazila of Chattogram.

The incident happened near Dhaka-Chattogram Shuklalhat shopping complex early Friday (Feb 23).

The deceased was identified as Babul, 18, son of late Nur Islam of Chomonosha area of Lakshmipur.

Baro awlia highway police station officer-in-charge (OC) Khokon Chandro Ghosh confirmed the matter.

He said a Chattogram bound vegetable carrying mini truck smashed another truck parked along the road from back after losing control over its steering.

Later, the helper of the truck Babul died on the spot, the officer said, adding the body has been handed over to the deceased family.
