Sabreen Jerin, Madaripur: The headmaster of a government high school in Madaripur has been accused of trying to stay in office by forging the master`s degree certificate of another. The actual certificate holder of the master`s degree has made a general diary (GD) at the police station. Fighting has started in the area. The incident took place at Shibchar Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Government Pilot Girls` High School.

According to the concerned sources, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam joined the post of headmaster on November 26, 2014 while the school was private. A master`s degree is required for the headmaster if a circular is issued after the school is declared nationalized.

Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, who is trying to retain the post of headmaster by forging MA roll certificate, registration number and session, has lodged a GD with Fatulla Model Police Station in Narayanganj on October 24. (GD No.-1508). Other teachers also claimed that B.Ed and M.Ed certificates also fake.

On the other hand, SheikhFazilatunnesaGovernmentPilotGirlsHigh School office assistant Zahirul Islam lodged a written complaint with the higher authorities.

According to the written complaint of the office assistant, when Mohammad Rafiqul Islam joined the post of headmaster (Index No.-340535), he applied for the job mentioning his BA, B, Ed educational qualifications. The school was later nationalized on April 4, 2017. Since the nationalization, the headmaster has provided information on his personal educational qualifications at different times at his convenience. On October 24 this year, he submitted a photocopy of his MA certificate to the Shibchar Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
