Housewife electrocuted in Barguna

A woman was electrocuted at Thong Para village under Taltali upazila in Barguna district on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Asiya, 18, wife of Rajib Shikder from the same upazila.

According to locals, Asiya was fixing an electric wire so that it could not harm anyone, which had been torn in the storm.

She was about to set to fixing it with her hand but at one point, electricity came and Asiya was being struck, electrocuted and died on the spot.

Taltali Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Shahjalal confirmed the incident and said that legal actions are going to be underway.
