Bangladesh recorded seven new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, raising this year’s total to 262, according to DGHS.
Four cases were found in Dhaka and three in Chattogram, with a 5.04% positivity rate from 139 tests.
June alone accounts for 104 of this year’s cases.
Authorities have strengthened screening at borders and advised against non-essential travel to outbreak-hit countries.
Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, the country has confirmed 2,051,807 infections after testing 15,726,933 samples.
