Rain, gusty winds likely across Bangladesh in next 24 hours: Met office

Online Report : The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds across much of the country in the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am today.

According to the Met office bulletin issued this morning, light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds are likely at most places in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Chattogram divisions. Many areas in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Barishal divisions may also experience similar weather, while a few places in Khulna division could see rain. Moderately heavy to heavy rainfall is expected in some areas across the country.

The day temperature may drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, while the night temperature is expected to remain nearly unchanged nationwide.

On Wednesday, the highest temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius in Rangamati. Today’s lowest temperature was 23.5 degrees Celsius in Tangail.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:48 pm today and rise at 5:21 am tomorrow.
