Rizvi urges BNP members to stay vigilant during Durga Puja
  Date : 19-09-2025

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has called on party leaders and activists across the country to remain alert and supportive during the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja, emphasizing the importance of communal harmony and peaceful celebrations.

Speaking in a virtual meeting with BNP’s district and metropolitan leaders, Rizvi stressed that ensuring the safety and sanctity of the Hindu community’s largest religious festival is not solely the responsibility of the government and law enforcement.

Rather, he said, it is also a moral, political and social duty for all BNP members.

The meeting was attended by the party’s presidents, conveners, general secretaries, member secretaries, as well as divisional organizing and co-organizing secretaries.

Rizvi warned of potential conspiracies aimed at disrupting Durga Puja celebrations and damaging the country’s image.

He urged the administration to take firm action to maintain peace and order at Puja mandaps across the country.

Calling on BNP members to act with the same awareness and responsibility shown during last year’s celebrations, he said, “Stand by the Hindu community and offer full cooperation so that Durga Puja is observed peacefully and without incident.”

He further emphasized, “Everyone must remain watchful so that no opportunist forces can use this occasion to incite unrest or damage Bangladesh’s long-standing tradition of communal harmony.”
