Victory Day celebrated at Comilla University

Tanvir Ahmed Rasel, CoU correspondent: The 50th Victory Day has been celebrated at ComillaUniversity (CoU) commemorating the heroic contribution of the freedom fighters in 1971. Teachers, students and employees of the university paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War by placing wreaths at the Shaheed Minar and the sculpture of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Wednesday.

The celebrations started with the hoisting of the national flag on the university campus in the morning. Teachers and students brought out a rally from in front of the administrative building around 11:00am. It ended in front of the university Shaheed Minar. Later, a brief discussion meeting was held at the front of the Bangabandhu`s sculpture. CoU Vice-chancellor, treasurer, teachers, students, officers, staffs and various organisations leaders were participated there.

In addition to other activities, special prayer was organized at the Central Mosque of the University after Zohar for the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs.
