RMG exports grow by 4.79pc in July-Sept of FY26

Bangladesh`s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) exports experienced a positive growth of 4.79% during the July-September period of the current fiscal year (FY26), reaching a total value of $9.97 billion, according to recent data from Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

The European Union continues to be the largest market for Bangladeshi RMG products, accounting for 47.60% of total exports, valued at $4.75 billion.

Exports to the United States stood at $2.01 billion, making up 20.18% of the total.


Other key markets include Canada, contributing $336.70 million (3.38%) and the United Kingdom with $1.22 billion (12.23%).

Year-over-year, RMG exports grew by 3.64% in the EU, 8.60% in the US and 13.63% in Canada.

The UK market saw a modest growth of 6.74%. In non-traditional markets, exports registered a minimal increase of 0.77%.

Breaking down by product segments, knitwear sector grew by 4.31%, while the woven sector saw an increase of 5.41%.

Overall, these figures highlight a steady upward trend in country’s RMG exports amid a competitive global market.
