Science Lab blocked by Dhaka College students
  Date : 14-10-2025

Intermediate students of Dhaka College have taken position on the Science Lab intersection protesting the incident of scuffle between the students and the teachers of the institution.

Around 11:30AM on Tuesday, the students with procession went to the Science Lab, halting traffic in one part of that road.

The protesting students alleged that the new ordinance of Dhaka Central University has called for the abolition of the intermediate class of Dhaka College. This will destroy the college`s tradition. For this, they have taken to the streets to amend the law.

The incident occurred on Monday morning when students from seven colleges were preparing for a march demanding the final ordinance for the proposed Dhaka Central University.A scuffle reportedly broke out between teachers and students, leading to a student being confined to a common room. His peers later besieged the administrative building and freed him.

Teachers claimed that they were attacked, while some students have made counter-allegations against them.
