Md Morshed Alam: Professor Dr. Jasim Uddin, a professor in the Department of Horticulture at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) in the capital, has been appointed as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Z. H. Sikder University of Science and Technology, Shariatpur.
?A notification regarding this was issued on Thursday (October 9) by the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education, with the approval of the President, in accordance with Section 32(1) of the Private University Act, 2010.
?The notification stated that Dr. Jasim Uddin has been appointed to the post of Pro-Vice Chancellor for a term of four years. He will perform his duties under the Vice Chancellor of the university and carry out his responsibilities in accordance with the law. The President and Chancellor may cancel this appointment order at any time.
?Subsequently, on Monday (October 27, 2025) at 11:30 AM, Professor Dr. Jasim Uddin joined the Z. H. Sikder University of Science and Technology campus. He was given a warm reception with flowers by the university authorities.
?After joining, he toured the university campus and participated in a brief introductory and exchange of views meeting with the teachers and officials. In the meeting, he expressed his determination to advance the university further on the path of progress.
?It is mentionable that Professor Dr. Jasim Uddin is a professor in the Department of Horticulture at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, who has been involved in education and research for a long time.
