 | Kamrul Hasan: Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Habu, former Organizing Secretary of the Manikganj District BNP and current member of the district BNP convening committee, has extended heartfelt congratulations and greetings to the BNP Chairperson’s Adviser and District BNP Convener Afroza Khanam Rita on being nominated as the BNP candidate for Manikganj-3 constituency. He also conveyed his deep respect and gratitude to the uncompromising leader Begum Khaleda Zia, the worthy successor of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, and to the acting Chairman of the BNP, Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, who has been the vigilant guardian of the nation’s independence, constitution, and democracy, showing extraordinary wisdom and foresight, and leading the struggle for 17 years against repression and autocracy. Habu Bhuiyan also extended his appreciation to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and the party’s central policymakers. In an exclusive interview with The Muslim Times on Monday night, he expressed his congratulations, stating: “If the 31-point reform framework announced by our acting Chairman, Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, is implemented, Bangladesh will become a developed and prosperous nation. To uphold this vision, we must set aside all divisions and work shoulder to shoulder to ensure the victory of the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ for the welfare of the nation. Once the BNP forms the government under the leadership of Deshnayak Tarique Rahman as Prime Minister, the dream of martyred President Ziaur Rahman will finally be realized.” He further said that Afroza Khanam Rita has played an unparalleled role in Manikganj’s BNP politics for the past 17 years. Therefore, in the upcoming election, she deserves to be honored through a landslide victory. He emphasized that victory for the Sheaf of Paddy in all constituencies of Manikganj—known as a BNP stronghold—would pave the way to transforming the district into a modern, prosperous, and developed region. Habu Bhuiyan called upon all party leaders, activists, supporters, and conscious citizens to unite, rise above all divisions, and stand firm against all adversities and conspiracies for the welfare of the country. He also prayed for the early recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia, the good health and long life of Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, and the peace and prosperity of Bangladesh. Note: On Monday evening, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the list of nominated candidates for 237 constituencies for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election at a press conference.
