3 female students injured in DU Shamsunnahar Hall during evening tremor

Dhaka was shaken by twin earthquakes on Saturday evening, causing panic at Dhaka University’s Shamsun Nahar Hall.

Three female students were reportedly injured while running down stairs and balconies in the commotion.

The incident occurred shortly after 6:00pm on Saturday, November 22.

The general secretary of Shamsun Nahar Hall Students’ Union said that chaos erupted in some blocks of the hall as the tremor was felt. “Three students fell and were injured while trying to evacuate in panic,” he said. Their identities have not yet been confirmed.
