  IKU Gazipur District Karate Competition Held

MT Desk: The 2nd Gazipur District Karate Competition 2025 was organized by the International Karate Union Bangladesh.
The competition was held on Saturday at the organization`s own office in the Tongi River Port area with the participation of karate students from various educational institutions in the district. IKU Gazipur district vice-president Shekanul Islam Shahi presided over the event, while Syed Atik, senior vice-president of International Karate Union Bangladesh and founder of Haji Saeed Laboratory School was present as the chief guest. IKU Bangladesh Central Committee General Secretary Sensei Abdullah Al Mamun delivered the welcome speech at the award distribution ceremony.
Eminent social worker and businessman Md. Mahabubur Rahman Bidyut was present as the special guest. Sensei Jamal Uddin Chowdhury, Syed Mahmud, Sensei Jasim Uddin and Abu Yusuf served as judges in the competition.
More than a hundred competitors from various karate clubs and educational institutions in Gazipur district participated in various age-based events in Kata and Kumite in the competition.
At the end of the day-long competition, certificates and medals were awarded to the winners.
