No Alternative to BNP in Transforming Manikganj into a Developed Model District : Rita

Kamrul Hasan : BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s guidance and prudent leadership have freed the country from dictatorship. To protect independence and democracy, resolve crises, and uphold religious harmony, everyone must contribute to the welfare of the nation. To ensure people’s rights and build a developed country, the paddy sheaf must be made victorious. BNP has no alternative in transforming Manikganj into a modern and developed model district, said Afroza Khanam Rita, member of the BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council and Convener of Manikganj District BNP.

She made these remarks on Wednesday night while addressing devotees, worshippers, party leaders, activists, supporters, voters, visitors, and local residents at the Anandamoyi Kali Mandir in Manikganj town after visiting various Durga Puja mandaps in Singair and Sadar upazilas.

The program was presided over by temple committee president Dr. Omesh Sarkar. Among those present were District BNP convening committee members Advocate A. F. M. Nurtaaz Alam Bahar PP, Golam Kibria Saeed, Nasir Uddin Ahmed Jadu, Abdus Salam Badol, Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Habu, Manikganj Press Club President Jahangir Alam Biswas, Asaduzzaman Khan Dolon, Riaz Mahmud Harej, Advocate Arif Hossain Liton, Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary Advocate Saiful Islam Khan Rimon, District Mohila Dal President Sabiha Habib, District Jubo Dal Joint Conveners Md. Masud Parvez and Md. Mahbubul Alam Ujjal, Municipal Jubo Dal Senior Joint Convener Shamsuddin Ahmed Babu, Engineer Rakibul Islam Biswas Babu, District Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Advocate Jinnah Khan, District Chhatra Dal President Abdul Khalek Shuvo, General Secretary Sirajur Rahman Khan Sojib, along with leaders of BNP, its associate organizations, and members of the Puja Celebration Committee.

Afroza Khanam Rita said: “BNP’s Acting Chairman, National Leader Tarique Rahman’s 31-point State Reform Plan is a roadmap to implement people’s fundamental rights and build the country into a developed and prosperous nation. Under his visionary leadership, the nation has been freed from the grip of dictatorship.”

She further stated: “It is our moral duty to preserve religious harmony. The unity of people of all faiths and communities is what strengthens democracy and independence in the country.”

At the time, she also mentioned that the interim government has announced the roadmap for the national election in the first half of February. However, an anti-liberation clique is carrying out destructive activities to derail the election. She urged the people to build united public opinion to resist these evil forces.

Rita said: “In every constituency of Manikganj, known as a BNP stronghold, the victory of the paddy sheaf must be ensured. To achieve this, all divisions must be forgotten, and the organizational structure must be strengthened shoulder to shoulder. Only then can the dream of martyred President Ziaur Rahman be fulfilled.”

Finally, she expressed her gratitude to the devotees, worshippers, and visitors attending the Durga Puja and sought prayers for the recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and for the good health and long life of National Leader Tarique Rahman.

Earlier, she also attended various Puja mandaps in Saturia upazila as the chief guest.
