Desk Report: The Jagoron panel has announced a 13-member line-up for the biennial election of the board of directors of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) scheduled for 18 April.

The announced panel includes Mokarram Hosain Khan for president, Engr Abdul Latif for senior vice-president, and Md Shahadat Hossain for vice-president (finance).

Mokarram Hossain Khan is managing director of CapitaLand Development Ltd, Engr Abdul Latif serves as managing director of Basic Builders Ltd, while Md Shahadat Hossain is managing director of Jams Developments Ltd.

Among other candidates, AM Mohib Uddin is contesting for vice president-1. He is managing director of Perfect Holdings Ltd.

SM Jahidul Islam is running for vice president-2. He serves as managing director of Unitech Holding & Technologies Ltd.

Md Rezaul Karim Khan is contesting for vice president-3. He is managing director of Oriental Real Estate Ltd.

Director candidates are Md Rejowanul Haque, Md Mohiuddin Sikder, Md Akter Hossain, Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Ali Hossain, SM Emdad Hossain, and Md Obaidur Rahman Talukder.

Md Rejowanul Haque is managing director of Madhu Milon Property Ltd, Md Mohiuddin Sikder serves as managing director of Plus Properties Ltd, and Md Akter Hossain is managing director of Aristo Real Estate Ltd. Mohammad Jahangir Alam is deputy managing director of Durable Development Ltd, while Ali Hossain is managing director of Resource Real Estate Ltd. SM Emdad Hossain is managing director of Bil tec Development Ltd, and Md Obaidur Rahman Talukder is managing director of Uttaradhikar Properties Ltd.

The Jagoron panel said it is contesting the election to advance the development of the housing sector, protect members’ interests, and make the association’s operations more dynamic.

Shahadat Hossain said, “If elected, we plan to further strengthen the REHAB’s financial structure, safeguard members’ interests, and contribute to sustainable development in the housing sector. I believe transparency, efficiency, and innovative planning can make REHAB stronger. Support and prayers from members are important for us.”

Jagoron panel candidates have sought support and cooperation from REHAB members.
