  BRTA revises bus fares across inter-district and metro routes

 

The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has published a new fare chart for passengers on inter-district and long-distance bus routes. Revised fare lists have also been issued for routes within the Dhaka and Chattogram metropolitan areas. The new fares were set in response to an increase in fuel prices.

According to the BRTA website on Saturday (April 25), the updated fare list covers inter-district and long-distance routes, as well as routes within the Dhaka and Chattogram metropolitan areas.

Under the revised fares, ticket prices on the Dhaka (Sayedabad)–Chattogram route have been set at Tk 704 for 51-seat buses and Tk 552 for 40-seat buses. On the Dhaka–Cox’s Bazar route, fares have been fixed at Tk 900 for 51-seat buses and Tk 1,147 for 40-seat buses.

On the Sayedabad–Sylhet route, fares are Tk 580 for 51-seat buses and Tk 740 for 40-seat buses. On the Sayedabad–Barishal route, fares are Tk 464 and Tk 592 respectively, while on the Sayedabad–Khulna route, fares have been set at Tk 541 for 51-seat buses and Tk 690 for 40-seat buses. For the longest route, Sayedabad–Teknaf, fares are Tk 1,047 for 51-seat buses and Tk 1,335 for 40-seat buses.

On the Dhaka (Gabtoli)–Panchagarh route, fares are Tk 1,005 for 51-seat buses and Tk 1,281 for 40-seat buses. On the Dhaka (Gabtoli)–Rangpur route, fares have been set at Tk 751 and Tk 911 respectively. On the Dhaka (Gabtoli)–Dinajpur route, fares are Tk 974 for 51-seat buses and Tk 1,241 for 40-seat buses.

Meanwhile, on the Dhaka (Gabtoli)–Jhenaidah route, fares are Tk 501 for 51-seat buses and Tk 639 for 40-seat buses. On the Dhaka (Gabtoli)–Rajshahi route, fares have been set at Tk 777 and Tk 991 respectively, while on the Dhaka (Gabtoli)–Meherpur route, fares are Tk 776 for 51-seat buses and Tk 981 for 40-seat buses.

Additionally, under the Mohakhali routes, fares for buses operating between Dhaka (Mohakhali)–Mymensingh have been set at Tk 294 for 51-seat buses and Tk 375 for 40-seat buses. On the Mohakhali–Jamalpur route, fares are Tk 386 and Tk 492 respectively.

On the Dhaka (Mohakhali)–Sherpur route, fares are Tk 421 for 51-seat buses and Tk 537 for 40-seat buses. On the Dhaka (Mohakhali)–Kishoreganj route, fares have been fixed at Tk 401 for 51-seat buses and Tk 511 for 40-seat buses.
