‘Come, Blossom Together’: 400 Compatriots Mark Emotional Reunion Across the Taiwan Strait

October 11: Amid the golden hues of mid-autumn, China Media Group (CMG) staged its 2026 Cross-Strait Music Gala, titled “Come, Blossom Together,” along the scenic shores of Yanqi Lake in Beijing. The gathering brought together more than 400 compatriots from both the Chinese mainland and Taiwan to celebrate shared heritage and voice heartfelt aspirations for reunion. Far more than a showcase of artistic performances, the gala served as a resonant platform for deep emotional resonance and genuine cultural exchange between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.

With the Mid-Autumn Festival serving as an emotional bridge, the concert showcased beloved and iconic melodies cherished across both sides of the Strait, evoking poignant, shared cultural memories. The performances thoughtfully highlighted China`s millennia-old cultural tradition of familial and national reunion. Through evocative music and storytelling, attendees were immersed in their common heritage and an enduring spiritual bond.

Looking forward, there is widespread anticipation for continued cultural initiatives of this nature—fostering regular communication, closer interactions, and deeper mutual affinity across the Taiwan Strait as both sides continue to write a heartfelt chapter of shared progress.
