HAAB Condemns Deadly Attack on Saudi Airport, Mourns Two Bangladeshi Victims

Desk Report: The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) has strongly condemned the deadly attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that claimed the lives of two Bangladeshi nationals, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extending condolences to the bereaved families.

In a press release issued on October 11, HAAB President Syed Golam Sarwar and Secretary General Farid Ahmed Mujumdar conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attack.

The association described the incident as a tragic loss of life and expressed solidarity with the affected families during this difficult time.

The statement also offered prayers for those who lost their lives and wished a swift recovery for the injured, reflecting the association’s concern for the safety and well-being of Bangladeshis in Saudi Arabia.

The attack on October 10 has raised fresh concerns over the safety of civilians amid escalating regional hostilities. Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also strongly condemned the incident and said the Bangladesh mission in Riyadh is in contact with Saudi authorities to obtain details about the deceased and injured Bangladeshis and facilitate necessary assistance.

HAAB’s condolence message comes as families await further information about the victims and the condition of those injured. The association’s leaders reiterated their sympathy for the bereaved families and prayed for the affected people.

The incident underscores the importance of protecting civilian lives and ensuring the safety of Bangladeshis living and working abroad.
