District Council Distributes Sewing Machines to Empower Women in Chapainawabganj

Chapainawabganj Correspondent: The District Council (Zila Parishad) of Chapainawabganj has distributed sewing machines to 75 women, aiming to create employment opportunities and foster economic self-reliance among destitute and vulnerable women.

The distribution took place during an event held at the Chapainawabganj District Council office on Sunday (November 1) at 11:30 AM.
Md. Harunur Rashid, Administrator of the District Council and a former Member of Parliament, attended the event as the chief guest and handed over the sewing machines to the beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, he stated that such initiatives play a vital role in creating employment opportunities for destitute and vulnerable women and helping them become self-reliant. With these sewing machines, the women will be able to earn an income from home, while also contributing to the financial stability of their families.
A total of 75 women received a sewing machine each. Those involved in the initiative expressed hope that this effort would enable the beneficiaries to create their own employment and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
Also present at the event were Abu Saleh Mohammad Hasnat, Chief Executive Officer of the Chapainawabganj District Council; Nazrul Islam, former Vice-Chairman of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila and former Organizing Secretary of the municipal branch of the BNP; along with other officials from the District Council and various other attendees.
