Fishermen`s swimming competition held in Rajapur

MD Naiem, Jhalakati: Fishermen`s swimming competition has been held at Rajapur in Jhalokati on the occasion of Jatka Conservation Week. The competition was held at the Upazila Parishad pond around 11am on Sunday. Earlier, a rally was held in the upazila on the occasion of Jatka Conservation Week. A total of 18 fishermen took part in the competition and fisherman Rakib Hossain won the first place, fisherman Hasan Mia won the second place and Sumon Hossain won the third place. The winners handed over the prizes among the fishermen and Upazila Chairman Principal Moniruzzaman was the chief guest at the function organized on the occasion of Jatka Conservation Week. UNO Moktar Hossain presided over the function, which was organized by the Upazila Task Force Committee on Jatka Conservation.
