3 killed as train hits three-wheeler in C`nawabganj

Online Desk : Three people were killed as a train hit a three-wheeler at Hajir intersection of Alinagar area in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Seher Ali, 45, son of late Rois Uddin, of Alinagar village, Fulchan Ali, 50, son of Fulchan Ali, Naimul, 35, son of Manik, of Kendul village.

Local people said, there was no gate barrier at the level crossing. The incident took place when a Rajshahi-bound train hit the vehicle around 8am leaving three people killed on the spot.

In this connection, Mozaffar Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station, said all the deceased were the passengers of the three-wheeler. The bodies of the deceased will be handed over to their families after legal process.
