International Youth Day is celebrated in Mirpur

Rasheduzzaman Rimon, Mirpur: International Youth Day has been celebrated in Mirpur, Kushtia. On the occasion, a colorful rally was organized on Wednesday (August 12) morning by Alo Swechchasebi Palli Unnayan Sangstha and in collaboration with Action Aid Bangladesh and Upazila Youth Development Office. Later a discussion meeting was held at the upazila premises. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Lincoln Biswas was the chief guest at the function presided over by Upazila Youth Development Officer Nurul Islam Nannu. Special guests were Upazila Parishad Vice-Chairman Abul Kashem Joarddar, Morzina Khatun, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rakibul Hasan, Upazila Agriculture Officer Ramesh Chandra Ghosh, Upazila Social Service Officer Jamshed Ali, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Zulfiqar Haider and others. The program was conducted by Mahfuzur Rahman, coordinator of Alo Sangstha. Later tree saplings were planted in the upazila premises.
