  Date : 26-04-2024

AKM Bazlur Rahman, Panchagarh: There have been allegations of irregularities and corruption in the appointment of assistant headmaster at KaliganjSukatuPradhanHigh School in Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh. A case has been filed against Mohar Ali in the court on September 14, whose number is 38/2020.

Mohar Ali is the son of Nur Hossain of Khutamara area of Debiganj. President Mashiur Rahman took Rs 4 lakh in advance from a person named Mohar Ali to appoint him. According to the agreement, the rest of the money will be transacted after the appointment, said Mohar Ali. But instead of taking Mohar Ali, Manoranjan hired him with more money from Roy.

Kaliganj Sukatu Pradhan High School of Debiganj Upazila published a recruitment notice in Manabjamin on March 18. 8 people applied for it.

Later, Samsuddoha, Abu Kashem, Humayun Kabir and Mohar Ali were called out for the examination. It is known that 4 people who took part in the test are the people of Manoranjan Roy.

Panchagarh BP secretly hired a man named Manoranjan Roy overnight to take exams at the government high school. Those who are deprived of taking part in the recruitment test can find out later. After learning about this, a petitioner named Mohar Ali filed a case in the Debiganj Assistant Judge`s Court of Panchagarh. The case is currently pending.

On August 29, Mohar Ali lodged a written complaint with various departments of the administration, including the Rangpur Region Deputy Director of the Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and the chairman of Debiganj Upazila Parishad.

Debiganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer asked Secondary Education Officer Md. Salimullah to investigate and give a report. Secondary Education Officer Md. Salimullah said, "Based on the complaint, I have called the two parties and discussed."

Complainant Mohar Ali said that Secondary Education Officer Md. Salimullah has been made a defendant as a member of the recruitment committee but he has been given the responsibility to investigate.

The reporter got the call record of appointing Mohar Ali. Money transactions are clearly mentioned in the call record.

After hearing the call record, it was learned that headmaster Dharma Narayan Roy told Mohar Ali why President Mashiur Rahman had taken money and would not work.

Mohar Ali said, "We have to cancel this appointment and take the exam again. We have to give the opportunity to take part in the exam and appoint qualified teachers on the basis of merit."

School president Mashiur Rahman said those who made the allegations were baseless. He denied taking money in the name of recruitment.
