  Date : 14-05-2025

A three-member high-level investigation committee, headed by Education Adviser Prof CR Abrar, has been formed over former President Abdul Hamid’s leaving the country.

Two other members are Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan and Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Shakhawat Hossain, Chief Adviser`s deputy press secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder said on Sunday, May 11.

The committee has been asked to submit its report within 15 days.

Hamid fled on a Thai Airways flight at 3:05am on Thursday, nine months after the regime’s fall in a student-led uprising.

The government has already taken action against four police officials for negligence to duty over Abdul Hamid`s departure.
