The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds in various parts of the country over the next 120 hours, starting from 9am today.
According to a BMD bulletin, rain or thundershowers are expected in a few places in Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions, and in one or two places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. Isolated hailstorms may also occur.
Daytime temperatures may rise slightly in Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions, while remaining mostly unchanged in other parts of the country. Nighttime temperatures are likely to remain stable nationwide.
A mild to moderate heat wave continues to sweep over Khulna division and the districts of Gopalganj, Patuakhali, and Cox’s Bazar, though it may ease in some areas.
On Monday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 39.2°C in Jashore, Khulna division. The lowest temperature today was 22.2°C in Sylhet.
