Zia family is the only one who led the country during the transitional period -- Amanullah Aman
  Date : 31-07-2025

Mohammad Said (Keraniganj-Dhaka) : Alhaj Aman Ullah Aman, political advisor to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, said, "Only the Zia family led the country during the transitional period. In 1971, when martyred President Ziaur Rahman declared independence from the Kalurghat radio station in Chittagong, the armed struggle began in this country. In 1990, we brought down the dictatorial Ershad government through an intense mass movement under the strong leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia."

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Milad and Doa Mahfil program on the occasion of the tragic death of Keraniganj Model Thana BNP President Monir Hossain Minu at the Model Thana BNP head office in Shakta, Keraniganj on Monday afternoon, July 28.

He (Aman Ullah Aman) also said, "Under the leadership of Tarique Rahman, we have been protesting against the fascist Awami League government for 16 long years. During this time, fascist Hasina has disappeared and murdered thousands of leaders and activists. The number of thousands of leaders and activists she has tortured and filed false cases against cannot be counted."

The fascist Sheikh Hasina government was overthrown in the mass movement of the students on August 5. We have gained new freedom. He said that BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman had said that the country`s path would be decided on the streets. In reality, the decision was made on the streets.
The election date will be announced in a few days. Everyone should be ready for the election. InshaAllah, BNP will come back to power in the upcoming neutral elections under the interim government. For this, everyone should remain united. We should go door to door and spread the word about paddy sheaves.
Later, he (Aman Ullah Aman) addressed the late Monir Hossain Minu Saheb. He was a dedicated leader of BNP. He faced many harassments and problems in cases during the Awami Fascist government for 17 years, yet he did not leave BNP. He addressed the leaders and workers, saying that everyone should take care of Minu Saheb`s family and inquire about his whereabouts. We are saddened by his death. May Allah forgive him.
Keraniganj Model Upazila BNP Acting President Haji Shamim Hasan presided over the event, while Dhaka District BNP Organizing Secretary Barrister Irfan Ibne Aman Ami was present as a special guest. Among others, the wife, son and daughter of the late Keraniganj Model Thana BNP President Monir Hossain Minu, Keraniganj Model Thana BNP Vice President Mozammel Haque, Nazim Uddin, General Secretary Hasmat Ullah Nabi, Senior Joint Secretary Monirul Islam Monir, Shakta Union BNP President Mohsin Montu, Selim Reza Keraniganj Model Thana Jubo Dal Convener Asaduzzaman Ripon, Masud Rana, Volunteer Party Leader Waliullah Selim Model Thana Sramik Dal Convener Abdul Jalil, etc. were also present.
