  Date : 03-10-2025

India on Friday said the interim government of Bangladesh is unable to maintain law and order situation in the country.

Responding to a question during the regular media briefing, spokesperson at the Ministry of External Affairs Randhir Jaiswal said Bangladesh should seriously investigate into the actions of extremist groups indulging in violence against minorities in Chattogram Hill Tracts (CHT).

He said the government has the habit of trying to shifting the blame elsewhere.

The spokesperson said they categorically reject the false and baseless allegations against India.

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Monday alleged that the current unrest in Khagrachhari was being instigated by India or fascist elements.

“All necessary measures have been taken to ensure the peaceful celebration of Durga Puja, but a vested quarter is trying to disrupt the festival,” he said.
