Man dies of snakebite in Ctg

A man died after being bitten by a snake early Tuesday Chattogram`s Boalkhali.

The dead Md Babul, 42, was a resident of the Satgariyapara area of Char Khijirpur in Boalkhali upazila. He died around 1 am while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

According to his relative Mamunur Rashid, Babul had returned home from work around 8 PM and was placing some tools in the bamboo wall of his house. At that time, he was bitten by a snake. The snake, however, was not seen.


He was rushed to the hospital and remained under treatment for five hours. His condition deteriorated over time, and doctors later declared him dead around 1 AM.
