The younger brother accused of killing his elder brother in Mirpur

Abdul Gafur, 50, has been accused of killing his elder brother Dawood Khan, 60, over the demarcation of land in Mirpur, Kushtia. The incident took place at around 1.30pm on Saturday (January 18) in a field in Nafarkandi area of ​​Chhatian union in Mirpur upazila. The deceased was identified as Dawood Khan, son of late Amulya Khan of the area. Local UP member Abul Hashem said there was a heated debate in the field at noon over the demarcation of the land. Later, Dawood Khan died suddenly on his way home. Mirpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Mostafa said police had been sent to the spot on the basis of news that younger brother Abdul Gafur had thrown stones at his elder brother on purpose over land issue at noon and elder brother Dawood Khan had died.
