RMP Shahmakhdum Police Station in Rajshahi organized a distribution of blankets and inauguration of Humanity Wall among the cold stricken people at 11.00 am on Tuesday. Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md. Abu Kalam Siddique was present as the chief guest and distributed blankets among the cold-stricken people. The Commissioner of Police also inaugurated the Humanity Wall adjacent to the gate of Shahmakhdum Police Station. Meanwhile, RMP Commissioner Md. Abu Kalam Siddique said that the wall of humanity is one of the humanitarian initiatives of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police to distribute winter clothes among the helpless and cold-stricken people on the occasion of Mujib`s centenary. He called upon the affluent and wealthy people of the society to stand by the disadvantaged people of the society by providing their unnecessary clothes on the wall of humanity. The commissioner further said that humanitarian wall activities have been started in Paba police station and Shah Makhdum police station on the initiative of Shahmakhdum Deputy Commissioner of Police Muhammad Saiful Islam. Humanitarian walls will be set up in 12 police stations of Rajshahi RMP in phases. Humanitarian walls will be set up in 12 police stations, 12 police outposts, 3 police boxes, 4 Deputy Commissioner of Police offices and 1 DB office in Rajshahi RMP. This will benefit the disadvantaged people of the society and the police will go a long way in the field of humanitarian policing, which will play a role in brightening the image of the police. Sujayet Islam, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Mr. Salma Begum, PPM, Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Mr. Md. Rashidul Hasan PPM, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahmakhdum) Mr. Muhammad Saiful Islam, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Shahmakhdum) Mr. Sonia Parveen, Officer-in-Charge of Shahmakhdum Police Station Md. Saiful Islam Sarkar, Officer-in-Charge of Airport Police Station Nure Alam Siddiqui, Officer-in-Charge of Paba Police Station Sheikh Md. Golam Mostafa and other senior officials of RMP.
