Most of new critically ill Covid-19 patients are youths : DGHS chief

Online Desk: He warns that dangers lie ahead if people continue ignoring the health guidelines

Most of the people being infected with Covid-19 now, are youths, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) chief Prof Dr ABM Khurshid Alam has said.

"And, a number of youths are undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit," he told the media after attending a workshop in Dhaka on Sunday.

He said: "We were in relief in the past two months. But, now we are not abiding by any health guidelines."

The director general of DGHS warned that dangers lie ahead if people continue ignoring the guidelines.
