River vessel services resume

Online Report : Movement of river vessels across the country resumed on Thursday, two days after suspension due to Cyclone Yaas.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) senior information officer Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter.

He said All vessels except the one-engine ones have been allowed to operate cautiously from 11:30 am on Thursday.

The BIWTA authority shut river transport services across the country on Tuesday after the cyclone brewed in the Bay of Bengal.
