Online Desk : Police today arrested five people in a case filed over attempted rape and murder on Dhaka film star Pori Moni.

Businessman Nasir Uddin Mahmud and Pori’s friend Omi are among the arrestees.

Police arrested them after conducting a drive at Nasir’s house on road no 12 of Uttara sector no 1.

Harun-or-Rashid, Joint Commissioner of Cyber and Special Crime Division unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police, confirmed the matter.

Earlier in the day, Pori filed the case with Savar Model Police Station against six people including Nasir Uddin.

Pori mentioned the names of Nasir Uddin, his friend Omi and four others unknown people in the case.

To be noted, Pori on Sunday posted a status on her verified Facebook page saying that she was attempted rape and murder.
