Farhana Yasmin: Education is the pillar of society.  And education life is the period of building those poles.  The journey of construction of these poles started by passing SSC.  Then the students who have just passed HSC suffer in the crisis of which institution will do the work of building the poles.  In a word, they suffer in the identity crisis.  After passing this step, some lucky students  get the opportunity to build their life poles in the big educational institutions like universities of the country.  Then the mantra of moving forward hand in hand with new city, new environment, new culture and new friends begins in their life.  Although the baskets of their routine are full of orientation, classes, midterms, assignments, the practice of celebrating the festivals of the year and the Bengali`s culture  by decorating themselves in a colorful way is awakened in them as soon as they come to this university.  In between studies and tuition, they often visit historical places with friends to discover themselves in a different way, have a picnic wearing the same sari bangles, break eggs on a friend`s head and put a cake in their mouth to celebrate their friend’s birthday.  In the same way, in the picture above, we, the four friends of the 2016-17 session of the Department of Sociology of BarishalUniversity, used to spend time together like ourselves whenever we got a chance from studying and tuition.  It seemed to us that sari and woman were like a coin side by side.  We would immediately forget about the pain of leaving my family.  In this way, friends  gradually became relatives, souls.  But today it`s been a year and a half and we don`t talk to this relatives.  I don`t judge 50 acres of land after  wearing sari, bangles  by matching like before.  We  could not find small cashew flowers next to the open stage swaying with the wind.  Sitting in Pritilata Chattar singing in a dissonant voice.  All this is now like a torrential downpour in the desert.  In an instant, our life came to a standstill and at the same time our self-care stopped.  But sometimes it seems that we are sitting in a waking state and drowning in the dream of magic.  We always pray that this dream of ours will come to an end soon.
