Evaly: Supplier files embezzlement case against CEO, chairperson

Another case of money misappropriation has been brought against Evaly foundere and CEO Mohammad Rassel and his wife Shamima Nasrin, the chairperson of the online marketplace.

One Kamrul Islam filed the case with the Dhanmondi police on Friday night, according to media reports.

Islam claimed he supplied products worth Tk35 lakh but is yet to be paid by Evaly, said Ekram Ali Mia, officer-in-charge of the police station.

The couple has been formally arrested in the case, he added.

After a customer filed an embezzlement case with Gulshan police station, RAB arrested Rassel and his wife Shamima during a raid at their flat in Dhaka`s Mohammadpur on Thursday. The arrestees are on three-day remand in the case.
